Music, Film & TV - Industry Seminars....


PRB Media are launching for 2017, Music, Film & TV seminars with selected entertainment courses and induction day's. The seminars / induction days are focused for colleges, schools, music students, aspiring music artists, creative people, producers, directors & bands who are looking to learn the basics or build on their experience and gain more of an in-depth working knowledge of the entertainment industry, with news, views & help from industry guest speakers, governing bodies, with a guide to the first steps of becoming a music manager, film producer, film & TV director, songwriter, musician or publicist. The seminars will take place within Southampton, Portsmouth & London quarterly. The next seminar will be held in Southampton around October 2017, check the website for further details.

The team behind the seminars have extensive experience in the entertainment industry, all coming from major & independent labels, UK tours and festivals, publishing, Sync for the film & TV sector & Grammy award wining writers / producers. The creator of these seminars also developed new deal for the media with the UK Government to give people a much better understanding of the media and entertainment industry, this program went on to be awarded 2 years running with (IOD) Institute of Directors & (HP) Hewlett Packard for entrepreneur of the year.

The seminars are in place to help each person to navigate your way through the entertainment industry, while discussing key areas of the industry sectors including, Live, Digital, Promotions, Finance, Public Relations, Festivals, Management, Publishing, Marketing, Digital Social media, Production. With advice and support in a relaxed and professional atmosphere.

Maria trained at the Arts Educational SchoolThe Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and The Royal College of Music, studying singing with Marion Studholme, repertoire with Robert Sutherland and piano with Peter Element, gaining her ARCM and dip. RCM diplomas. Maria maintains a varied performing career spanning musical theatre, theatre, opera, concert, recording, cabaret, and dance.

In musical theatre and theatre Maria’s credits include numerous lead roles including Christine opposite Michael Crawford in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre; Jenny Lind in BarnumMaria Vittoria in Which Witch at the Piccadilly Theatre; Ruthie in The Royal National Theatre production of Lady in the DarkLaundress in Yerma at The National Theatre Studio; Dvora in Golem at The New End Theatre Hampstead; Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (New Zealand tour); Deanna Durbin in Two Smart Girls at The Queen Elizabeth Hall; Maria in The Sound of Music at The Everyman. Maria also received critical acclaim and a Time Out award for her performance of Melinda Coverdale in A Judgement in Stone with Sheila Hancock (Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith).
Maria has made numerous TV and radio appearances, and is a regular star singer on Friday Night is Music Night and The Steve Race Show for BBC Radio 2. She also performs as soloist for The Last Night of the Proms open air concerts with The Royal Philharmonic at High Clear Castle, Battle Abbey, Castle Howard, Calke Abbey, Lydiard House and Longleat. BeX performs acoustic show for Wightlink June 8th on the St Clare......






BeX singer songwriter and her band members (Richard Wood acoustic guitar & Kyle Fenton on Cajon / drums) with production & music support from Island company JA Entertainment, performing on the St Clare for Wightlink Thursday June 8th 2017 for the Isle of Wight Festival goers.....

BeX has been invited by Wightlink Ferries to perform an ‘exclusive’ acoustic performance for the Isle of Wight festival goers on board the St Clare vessel on June 8th 2017 on the Portsmouth to Fishbourne car ferry route lunch time sailings – 13:00 and 15:00 from Portsmouth and 14:00 from Fishbourne.

Isle of Wight songstress BeX released her stunning debut album “Story So Far” on 26th May 2017, BeX said; “I am very excited to be performing on the St Clare for the festival goers, this will be a great experience”. With influences growing up listening to the likes of Eva Cassidy, Carole King, these artists really have inspired her creativity, BeX style brings the elements and qualities from her favourites artists P!nk, Sheryl Crow & Anastacia, and a country feel of the Dixie Chicks & Lady Antebellum, and with the essence of all these influences 'BeX' Creates her own unique and original sound as an artist/ songwriter in her own right.

Listen: BeX’s BBC Solent Introducing Set Country singer BeX performed 3 songs during her live session!





Rising country music singer BeX is one of the latest British acts to take on the genre and is currently gearing up for the release of her debut album 'Story So Far' which will be released this Friday (May 26th).
As the promotional campaign for the LP kicks into gear, the singer/songwriter joined radio host Stephanie Nieuwenhuys for a live set on BBC Solent as part of their Introducing segment, on the 21st of May.
During her live performance, BeX performed three tracks off her upcoming debut LP. The set went down very well with listeners and ‘Story So Far’ is expected to do well in the UK’s Official Country Music Chart when it is officially released tomorrow.
